I would need to guess as i currently dont have nuke here and have not played with the particles enough...
remember that nuke stores depth in 1/z so depending where your layers come from they might need to be adapted to this with an expression. Also keep in mind that the deep to points has a drawing bug when you have bboxes. Use a deepcrop to remove them to get a proper draw ( that bug would not affect the depth tough, just the aspec ratio ) If you use a scanline render the depth values are already in 1/z.... hope that helps On Thu, Sep 6, 2012 at 3:15 AM, Vincent Langer < [email protected]> wrote: > hi there, > > i am trying to combine multiple distance layers of particles to one deep > imageanimaion. > > i am rendering out of softimage simple particles with depth (black =0 > distance/Float) > in 8 different distance layers. > > in nuke i use the DeepFromImage and DeepMerge Nodes to combine these > particle layers. > when i check the result with the DeepToPoints Node and enable and disable > the DeepFromImage inputs you can see that the depth placement is opposite. > the closer particles are placed further away from he camera. > > what depths values have to be used for the deep nodes? > > or could the exportet camera be the cause? > > cheers, > Vincent > > ------------------------------**------------------------------**---- > This message was sent using IMP, the Internet Messaging Program. > > > _______________________________________________ > Nuke-users mailing list > [email protected], http://forums.thefoundry.co.uk/ > http://support.thefoundry.co.uk/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/nuke-users >
