Damn, it might be the monitor. Moved the viewer to my dell monitor and it doesn't look banding at all. Viewer pref is float.
Hey Adrian, which curve type in the curve tool do I need to sample, intensity, exposure, or Luma? They all just gave me rob numbers w/o the visual curve. . I plugged the sampler node under the ramp instead, and it gave visual graph. Looks smooth . . So I would say the monitor, even on client's side Thanks all.
