One thing I would like to add is that more and more shops have removed or
will be cutting off internet access to their artists because of
requirements made by certains clients when working on projects.

If people have to use their phone/tablet at work to interact with other
Nuke users and developers, chances are that doing so through email will be
a lot more simple and convenient than navigating a community forum that is
not always as accessible and portable as email on such devices.

My personal bit: unless the search functions of the forum is also updated,
it is a lot easier to search for something in one's mailbox than on the
forum.

Just a thought.
