Along this line, another set of illustrations that would be great to have would be really nicely laid out maps of the laminar structure from the point of view of the CLA and the new Pooling ideas. Connections between layers 3, 4, 5, etc. The key connections to/from thalamus, motor areas, etc. Basically, improved versions of the various layout sketches Jeff has used over the years.
