Thanks for looking into this. 

I did what you recommended running “pip uninstall nupic -y”  I did have 3 other 
prior installations laying about. I’ve completely removed these older versions 
and reinstalled nupic 0.3.6 doing a "python setup.py install”

I then executed my  nupic python apps that use the Encoders, SP and TP and 
these work as they did before but I still have the same issue with the 
CLAClassifier

  FYI: I’m running on Linux 64 bit
