Thanks for the answer. Well I have tried to upgrade the nut drivers but it can't compile on RHEL4 due to dependencies. Newer nut require RHEL5. Am I right?
Is this bug known and fixed in recent versions? There have been tons of changes in the usbhid-ups driver since nut-2.2.0 was released a little over two years ago. The older versions of this driver have serious performance issues (as well as bugs), which have been solved since. See the NEWS file for nut-2.4.1.
