Thanks for the feedback guys... but I'm confused what I'm supposed to do... Is there anyway to talk to the driver maintainer about this issue??

Hi,

To find the problem, check the list for my thread DP55KG, you should run a debug kernel and grab the usbmon output and report it to the list.

Also stop nut and run each service manually with -DDDDDDDDD to see what is happening within nut, but if it is not really obvious, the kernel/nut developers will need to see the usbmon output.

Justin.

Hi Justin,

I'm using a MSI KM400 motherboard with a dual core AMD, running Ubuntu 2.6.28-11.42-server in 64 bit mode.

I noticed on dmesg the following error - not too sure if this helps:

"usb 2-2: usbfs: process 24736 (tripplite_usb) did not claim interface 0 before use"

One other thing - this UPS has just been provided as a replacement from tripplite (i.e. its a new model), as I had a pretty identical one before - which worked perfectly with NUT, but used the USBHID- UPS driver. Why this one is so different - I have no idea!!

Regards
Farrukh

Hi,
I'm running the latest version of NUT and with the above UPS and I keep getting the following error: "tripplite_usb[3308]: Error reading B value: Device detached? (error 0: could not claim interface 0: Device or resource busy)" The device keeps disconnecting and re-connecting until fails. I've tried to see if others are getting this - but I could not locate a cause/resolution for this. I provide below the messages from the driver in debug:

Hi,
What motherboard/chipset are you using?
Justin.
