You may want to find a newer RPM (from rawhide?) - we're on 2.6.2 now.
With my Fedora packager and centos QA hats on in the same time:
rawhide binaries cannot be run on any CentOS release. creating CentOS
binaries from the rawhide nut.src.rpm is possible but not at all trivial.
