Hi Guys,
Am a Linux newbie and need some help setting up this UPS
with NUT on Cent OS 5.6. So basically I have the following
packages installed with yum:
libusb-devel-0.1.12-5.1.x86_64
libusb-devel-0.1.12-5.1.i386
libusb-0.1.12-5.1.x86_64
libusb-0.1.12-5.1.i386
nut-2.2.2-1.el5.x86_64
You may want to find a newer RPM (from rawhide?) - we're on
2.6.2 now.
With my Fedora packager and centos QA hats on in the same time:
rawhide binaries cannot be run on any CentOS release. creating
CentOS binaries from the rawhide nut.src.rpm is possible but not
at all trivial.
come on, it's not that hard, and I can tell you by experience!
You'll find attached a backport to RHEL 5.1 of some recent 2.6.1.
I've done it, too, a few weeks ago. The rpm runs happy on a 5.7. But I
had to fiddle around with the location of udev rules in order to make
them trigger.
