Yes.We adopt some open source to build our system.All the coding of our system is also free/opening.

CERNET includes all the universities in China.We build the first testbed on it. The basic idea of this system is very simple.We build the conventional centralized search engines in different universities.Then we harvest the metadata from these search engines and build a bigger web search engine.This method can improve the update interval.
How to build a system like Google is still in theory research period.But a better search engine must adopt the distributed architecture.
