Do you really understand something about Linux?
We actually plan to do a RPM for nutch, but since I have no idea how to do that, may be you can help with it?
It would be great to have a script (Ant is preferred, make would be ok, shell would be ok as well ) that builds a "red hat package" (rpm) of nutch.
As far i figure out it needs a special packaging, a descriptor file with dependencies (Tomcat would be such a dependency) and a script for installing (including copy the war to the tomcat folder) it.
Can you contribute a script and all required files so we can add building a rpm in our nightly builds?
That would be a great contribution to nutch and may be a fair investment of time for you.
