Hello guys, one question: Wouldn't it be more resonable to use already developed description of magic numbers than develop Your own? On freedesktop.org there is already a nice description of magic numbers in XML (with some i18n included). Also links to implemenations in languages other than Java are provided. I think it is worth to consider using other people's work and give nutch users an ability to update their mime-type definition file just by dowloading it from freedesktop.org or updating their Linux distribution. Shared mime info: http://freedesktop.org/wiki/Software_2fshared_2dmime_2dinfo Links to implementations: http://freedesktop.org/wiki/Standards_2fshared_2dmime_2dinfo_2dspec Just my 2c.
