Hello,

The current web search interface is constructed in a way it must be installed as a root web application (so it's context path will be / )

try to rename the directory webapps/nutch-0.6 to webapps/ROOT and try again.

If there allready is a web application ROOT you need to remove it of rename to something else.

Hello,

I fortunately can access nutch's start page and its html-pages on my local tomcat-server, but trying a search with nutch (entering a term and clicking "search") results in the error:
HTTP Status 404 - /search.jsp
type Status report
message /search.jsp
description The requested resource (/search.jsp) is not available.

My system:
-- nutch 0.6
-- tomcat 4.1.31
-- Debian Sarge

My installation steps:
I copied nutch-0.6.war into $CATALINA_BASE, and it was successfully extracted at the next restart of tomcat into its own subdirectory of webapps: nutch-0.6 . I created the file "urls" with the text content "http://www.nutch.org"; and I also edited crawl-urlfilter.txt as instructed in the tutorial (because I wanted to test intranet search).

I alread read http://nutch.sourceforge.net/cgi-bin/twiki/view/Main/GettingNutchRunningOnDebian , but this article deals with other errors. I still didn't find anything helpful with Google. Any help is appreciated very much.

Alfred
