Hello,
If you want to run it on single server (node) you don't have to install
hadoop manually.
Just follow instructions on wiki link:
http://zillionics.com/resources/articles/NutchGuideForDummies.htm
If you want to run it on multiple servers you will have to get familiar
with hadoop anyway.
