I'm reassigning this to the opensolaris/desktop product/component; I think
the problem is in the mapping from the svcs output (which is correct) to
what's displayed in the gnome services tool (which is at best misleading).

I think the confusion comes from the fact that the services tool is not
actually showing you the "enabled" state of network/physical:nwam and
network/physical:default; it's showing you network/physical:nwam and
network/physical.  I'm guessing that by virtue of the fact that the nwam
instance is enabled, the network/physical service as a whole is considered
to be enabled.  What's *not* enabled is the default instance of that service;
but we don't actually see that in the display.

But that's really just a guess on my part.  Someone who knows more about
the services tool needs to take a look at this.
