A mechanism we used in Phase 0.5, in the UI, but would be better placed in the
daemon is to validate the WEP key based on the assumption that if we're sending
packets (e.g. DHCP or a broadcast) then we really should be getting some
received packets - if we're not getting any received packages then it's almost
certain it's because the key is not correct.
