I'm seeing some of the same things you are. One of the issues you experienced above seems to relate to 9618 On upgrade, nwam didn't create IP NCU for wired i/f. The fix did the job to an extent, in that it retried the creation after the failure: Jun 25 17:49:58 unknown nwamd[101128]: 1: failed to create link ncu for bge1: entity is read only We can see from the log and the nwamcfg output that NCUs for bge1 were created, however the physical NCU hasn't been re-evaluated after creation, leaving it stuck in the offline state. Just to confirm my suspicions, try "svcadm restart nwam" and see what state bge1 ends up in. If a cable is plugged in, it should be online/up, otherwise offline*/waiting for addr.
