A quick question: is the network/location service enabled? That service is what takes care of creating the Automatic and NoNet locations if they don't already exist, so if it is not enabled, those locations will not be created if they've been previously removed, or on a freshly installed system. On my laptop, I've verified that with the 2009-02-18 bfu archives, those locations are created when I enable network/location. If that's not it, we will need to do a bit more expoloring on your system, since I can't reproduce the problem here. Are you getting any errors from the network/location start method? Does the file /etc/nwam/loc.conf exist, and does it have anything in it? Do the files create_loc_auto and create_loc_nonet exist in the /etc/nwam/loc directory? Any chance I could get access to a system that's having this problem? Thanks! renee
