RC5
1. launch nwam-manager-properties
2. select interface e.g. bge0
3. select ipv4 IP - disabled
select configure ipv6 - disabled
4. select ok
- bge0 is correctly taken off line, i.e. ifconfig -a does not list it
however tooltip for nwam icon indicates bge0 is wating for address.
connection status view shows bge0 as waiting for address
ncu:ip bge0 offline* waiting for IP address to be set
ncu:phys bge0 online interface/link is up
