I think that's reasonable.  How to go about changing the password still seems a
bit un-obvious, as I'm not sure I would think to click in a disabled box; but I
suppose it's hard to argue with an OS X precedent.  :-)

I'm also okay with an arbitrary number of asterisks representing the password. 
But the string of asterisks should only be present if a password is actually
set.
