EY are looking to hire a UK based Application Support Engineer (what I currently do) to replace someone who has moved on. The job generally involves dealing with customer queries about application and systems deployment and looking at scaling issues and optimisations that can be made.
It would suit someone who has written and deployed their own Rails/Merb/Sinatra/Rack applications before but also has good experience running the servers the apps were deployed on. There isn't generally any dev work day-to-day, but we do get dedicated dev time every week and there are often opportunities to work on the internal tools and systems that EY uses. Pay is going to be somewhere above £30k at a guess, it will depend on how capable/experienced you are. Get in touch if you're interested, the next meetup (May 20th) would be a good time to talk to me in person about the job in more detail.
