Hi Guys Well, I thought I'd lost the few marbles I have left.
The jolly old iPhone (and indeed cameras) says what the orientation of an image is using exif data. If you upload an image taken from the phone, the jolly old browser (Chrome/Safari/FF/IE 8) ignores the exif data and makes your image landscape. Has anyone else found a way of rotating images on the way into their app (I'm using paperclip)? Or a tag that respects exif? There's lots of command line utilities like jhead, but heroku doesn't let you at the file system so I'm storing stuff up in S3 and therefore command line a non-starter. Can't expect punters to understand this. It's not a big deal, just irritating.
