I'm struggling with this. You're right of course in that a user object does not logically need to know how it is identified, but the idea of removing this user id from the object just feels weirdly wrong.
I suppose that the thing to do is to try it and see what happens., Maybe we are all just wedded to a way of doing things that isn't needed. A couple of thoughts : This reminds me a bit of proprioception. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Proprioception Sometimes, when in the console, I'll pull an object into a variable. |when I look at the object properties, It feels useful to know what user the object is referencing. A UserID seems the easiest way of visually checking this. We may now be overthinking this.
