Hi, The rpm packages create an nxlog user and group. As per the default conf file this is the user the daemon runs with. Like Scott suggested, you should be able to keep running it as is after adding the proper permissions and making sure it can access the files under /var/log
It is also possible to run it as root, though not recommended, by removing the User and Group directives from the configuration file.
