I'm going to be really, really curious about your experiencews with Cyberonic, who I have never heard of.
I'm paying $99/month for what is supposed to be 1.5 mb/sec down, 384k down. I get very fast downloads - easily over 1.2 mbps - but up uploads never get past 128k. Never. That being said, Bway.net is just amazing for not portblocking or any other malarky, and just being dead on reliable. Yes, they go down, but less often than my cable TV. What is Cyberonic's policy on servers? Bway unofficial policy, as I apply it (which means: this is what I've gotten away with) is that running light duty servers is fine. I've been serving mail and dns from my DSL for a while now, no problems. jonathan On Tue, 20 Aug 2002, Gerald wrote: > I signed the paperwork on Cyberonic DSL here in NYC last week. > http://www.cyberonic.com/int-for-home.shtml 1.5m/768k month to month > contract $49.99. > > Static IP address too.
