I would say that if you stick to the major online stores you will usually get a decent deal and excellent customer service as well as good return policies.
Unless you have a good reason to buy from someone else I would stick to the big boys. Sorry, offtopic... So I'm a recent transplant to New York. I moved here most recently from Sacramento California about 2 1/2 years ago and lived in Jersey for a while. In the last few months I moved to the Upper East Side and I love living in the city. I love the way New York is still full of little shops run by mom and pops and sell a variety of things but It gets hard to know where to go to get certain things. I'd like to find a good place to buy compact flash or my camera or go to a pace to look over a wide variety of quality cameras without getting ripped off by a tourist shop. Most recently I was looking for a Peacoat and ended up ordering it online. Someone later told me there is a row of coat makers on Orchard street that I should have checked out. I'm looking for a mailing list that covers this kin of stuff. Nothing specific to NYC wireless gear or restaurants or anythnig, but just a discussion of "where can I find X?" Does anyone know of such a list? Would it be a good list for me to start? -Terry -- NYCwireless - http://www.nycwireless.net/ Un/Subscribe: http://lists.nycwireless.net/mailman/listinfo/nycwireless/ Archives: http://lists.nycwireless.net/pipermail/nycwireless/
