But this is NYC. Sometimes I want to take a cab somewhere, try on some Peacoats, check the sizing and quality, and walk out with a coat. The same is tue with computerish gear. Maybe I lived in Sacramento for too long but I'm spoiled. If I want a hard drive I just went to Fry's and touched the display models, read the specs, and left with a drive.. If I wanted some funky capacitors or such I'd go toto HSC and troll the isles. It can't be true that Sacramento has this but NYC deosn't.
My biggest problem with NYC is the ability to find stuff. Once I find a guy who knows a guy who knows a guy who knows where to go I'm happy. Finding stuff is half the battle. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Larry Velez" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "'Terry Ewing'" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>; <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Friday, September 27, 2002 6:11 PM Subject: RE: [nycwireless] Where to get it in NYC... > > I would say that if you stick to the major online stores you will > usually get a decent deal and excellent customer service as well as good > return policies. > > Unless you have a good reason to buy from someone else I would stick to > the big boys.
