[nycwireless] Orinoco AP Secret (?)

Does anyone out there know if there exists a driver to make an orinoco (silver) card behave as an access point (managed mode not simply IBSS mode)?

I know that the hostAP driver on linux can put Prism based cards into a hostAP mode but the same thing should be possible with these orinoco cards since they are in a bunch of base stations - like apple's airport.

Got clues?
