She:kon skennen kowa ken akwekon, Greetings, How are you all?

Thank you for last nights meeting and I apologize for my rudeness talking during the
presentations, I have that terrible habit when excited and or asked questions by
others.

Kevin's HAM presentation got me thinking about repeaters. I do not have a high speed
DSL or Cable to share but I do own a 3 story house in Windsor Terrace and would be
willing to putup the Antenna and other neccessary equipment if not too cost
prohibitive(short on funds courtesy of 2 baby girls) and of course we'd need to clear
this with whoever's NYCWireless AP we repeated.

Is this feaseable or am I having a pipe dream? I assume 2 AP's an Antenna and at least
one Computer are neccessary for this eh? The Aluminum Waveguide Antenna Kevin
mentioned makes this idea seem reasonable to me but I'm new to 802.11b

I, like Kevin am a Licenced Amateur Radio Operator(KB2ZKU) so if need be adding an Amp
is in my reach again if not prohibitively expensive ;-)

Of course I'm not totally altruistic, I'm happy to help my neighbors get unwired but
of course we all know my Ulterior motive is gain a good local AP ;-)

Nia:wen Thank you for letting me babble.

O:nen ki' wahi' Bye for now
Skennen kenhak O:NEN! Let there be Peace NOW!

Pete
