I was wondering if anyone had a good solution or could point me towards one concerning extending my wireless signal so it can handle 2 floors - the building is relatively old so I assume the walls/floors are pretty thick..

I'm currently using a Linksys AP/router and was entertaining different potential solutions for bathing both floors in a signal:

1. Signal Booster - Linksys sold one but they seem to have stopped doing so. Anyone have any experience with them?
2. Wireless Bridge
3. Removing one of the antennas from the router and "extending" it so it reaches the other floor. This seems like it would work but : the signal would seemingly be half as stronga and it seems to defeat the purpose of "wireless" if I have to run one across the entire apt.

Are there any other options? If not, which of these seem best?

Thanks so much,

.alex
