This report may have been referenced here before and I missed it but just stumbled across it on the net.
In May of this year the Select Committee on Technology in Government chaired by Gale A Brewer received a report prepared by the Ifrastructure Division (somewhere in NYC government) entitled Network NYC: Building the Broadband City. I have only had an opportunity to skim the PDF file but saw mention of a "Petential Prospect Park Public Wi-Fi Network" and an apparent recommendation that the city establish tradeoffs to allow builders to build larger buildings if they provide free public wireless access. http://www.positivelybroadband.org/library/downloads/Index_25_Building%20the%20Broadband%20City.pdf --- A seed hidden in the heart of an apple is an orchard invisible.
