Hi all:

the next major overhaul of the NYCwireless website is in progress!

this new architecture will dramatically improve our ability to produce and maintain high-quality content about NYCwireless and free Wi-Fi applications and infrastructure, as well as provide a system for authoring, submitting, and reviewing new materials provided by you, the NYCwireless community!

we are planning on using the Plone content management system, which is based on Zope, an open source application server. Zope itself written in Python, an interpreted, object-oriented programming language.

while we are testing a basic configuration of this system that will replicate most of the current NYCwireless website, we are desperately in need of skilled Python programmers (especially those with Zope/Plone experience) to help us develop this site, as well as the wirelesscommons.org site which will host NYCwireless' global networking initiative which is planned to launch in 2004.

this is strictly a volunteer activity - we do not have resources to pay anyone to work on this. however, your contributions will be highly valued and forever enshrined on the "Credits" page of the new site. of course cash contributions (which are now tax-deductible) are always welcome, and can be earmarked for this project.

please forward to anyone that might be able to help.
