[nycwireless] Hotspot sniffer for Mac OS X?

Can anyone recommend a decent sharware sniffer? I'm looking for 
something that can detect signal strength, signal speed, and if it has 
a pw enabled or not. Trial and error from the airport list gets 
annoying sometimes, especially if there is a huge list and only 1 of 
them ends up being accesible. I'm also willing to buy an app as long as 
its not that expensive. $3K is way out of my league. :-(
