I've had good luck so far with these Hawking 15dBi antennas:
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B0000DIET2
Currently about $37 at Amazon / Buy.com (usually $45). Comes with adapters
for RP-SMA (D-Link/Netgear) and RP-TNC (Linksys).

And then there's our local www.cantenna.com which is now available at
CompUSA and similar. Probably not as good for your scenario though.

Last, there's the D-Link 6 dBi panel with an RP-SMA fitting:
http://www.d-link.com/products/?pid=57. Nice form factor to add to an AP
(see pic http://socalfreenet.org/node/view/273) and much better than a
lollipop dipole. Expensive at $30.

FYI, Amazon has had some competitive prices on this gear recently -
surprisingly as they didn't used to be. If there's no sales tax and you
order enough for free shipping, they compare well with the cheapest from
www.pricegrabber.com.

Finally, Jim can't say this, but as a many times satisfied customer I can: I
doubt you'll be disappointed with anything you buy from www.netgate.com.
Great products and great service.

cheers, michael
