It looks like this hasn't been posted yet. Doug Futuyma and Andrew Baksh found 
a White-winged Dove this afternoon at the Jones Beach West end Coast Guard 
Station, at the eastern edge of the parking lot near a fire hydrant. From what 
I was told the bird later walked away into the bushes but was relocated. It 
fortunately was not too skittish, tolerating the crazy cat lady and some cars 
that passed near it. It was there at least as late as 5 PM. Nice find guys
A 90 minute sea watch at Robt Moses Field 2 from 5-6:30 resulted in 4 or 5 
Storm-Petrels, lots of gannets, and little else - no shearwaters or Jaegers
