While working at Somnia, Inc. on Commerce Rd. in New Rochelle I saw a pair of
Peregrine Falcons calling and flying around the tallest building in the city
which is easily seen from where I was.  One bird was carrying a dead pigeon and
both were circling and landing on the building for about a half hour before
settling down.  The funny thing about seeing these birds is that on a large
billboard next to the train tracks on the other side of Commerce is a recorded
Peregrine call and fake owl that has been placed on top to keep the birds away,
which of course isn't working.  The call goes off about every 5 or so minutes
and everything just ignores it including the falcons.  I didn't know the
falcons are nesting in NR too.
