At Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge. Seen near bench 8 by the West Pond. The bird
was actively feeding near the edge of the pond and would sometimes be out of
sight when closest to the shore. Could easily be missed if it moves into the
tall grass near the edge of the pond. Also seen from bench 7 looking across
towards the bench 8 area. A scope is best for this effort.
