Today was a great day to be lake watching at the Derby Hill Bird
Observatory in Oswego County. I ran up after Bill Purcell reported a
Northern Gannet (I am sure he'll post about that) and missed that. The
waterfowl flight was very slow while I was there but there was still
some good stuff.

Most notably were an intermediate morph juvenile Long-tailed Jaeger
(getting late for them) and a light morph adult Pomarine Jaeger that
were teaming up to chase gulls, followed by an immature Franklin's
Gull. The Long-tailed Jaeger hung out pretty close to us allowing
great looks, while the Pomarine was a bit more elusive.
