It was a quiet evening for the NYC Audubon Bryant Park bird walk from 5-6 PM. The remaining American Woodcock was spotted by a birder, but not seen by our group. Apparently it was poking around in the ivy on the northern edge of the park, near the mid-block subway entrance. Although we failed to find the Woodcock, we spotted at least 4 Eastern Towhees (3 males and a female), several Dark-eyed Juncos, Song Sparrows, a Chipping Sparrow, and a lone Palm Warbler uncharacteristically high in a tree at the SE corner of the park, above the maintenance area. A Hermit Thrush was also lurking around in the maintenance area. Hopefully once this cold front & rain blows through, some more migrants will arrive... Good birding, Gabriel WillowNYC Audubon --
