While (unsuccessfully) waiting for the possible return of the Elegant Tern from
5PM - 8:15PM, we were able to observe a nice collection of shorebirds,
including what may have possibly been a Red-necked Stint. The bird showed up
at 7:30PM and we were able to move in for a closer look, only to lose the bird
as it flew toward the grass-line at the far edge of the bay. Unfortunately, we
were unable to re-located the bird and eventually lost the light. We just
bring this possibility up to those who are at the Tiana Bay "gazebo" in the
days ahead.
