Had a good start to a New Year of birding with several nice sightings in
Brooklyn.

At Coney Island a LESSER BLACK-BACKED GULL and first year GLAUCOUS GULL
continue on the Coney Island Creek side of the peninsula. In addition, there
was a RED-NECKED GREBE feeding in the rip off of Norton Point. At Green-Wood
Cemetery an immature RED-HEADED WOODPECKER was a quick find, only about 50
yards up the road from the main entrance.

Here's to a healthy New Year with lots of good birding,

Rob
