Montezuma National Wildlife Complex (MNWC) and Montezuma Wetlands Complex (MWC)------------ 2/5: A LAPLAND LONGSPUR was found at the intersection of Rt.89 and Armitage Road. Onondaga County------------ 2/4: A TURKEY VULTURE was seen at Green Lakes State Park 2/5: A SAW-WHET OWL was seen in the University area. 2/6: A HERMIT THRUSH was at a feeding area in Baldwinsville. Two TRUMPETER SWANS were again seen in the Seneca River in Baldwinsville. 2/7: This was the last day the TRUMPETER SWANS were seen in Baldwinsville. Two ICELAND GULLS were seen from Marble Island in Baldwinsville. 2/8: A THAYER’S GULL was found in Mercer Park on the Seneca River in Baldwinsville. also seen were 2 ICELAND GULLS and a GLAUCOUS GULL. Two SAVANNAH SPARROWS were at a feeder on East Sorrell Hill Road south of Baldwinsville. 2/9: The THAYER’S GULL was relocated in Mercer Park in Baldwinsville. Also seen were 4 ICELAND GULLS and 3 GLAUCOUS GULLS including one adult. Madison County------------ 2/3: A SNOWY OWL was seen near the Fenner Wind Farm. 2/8: 2 LAPLAND LONGSPURS were seen from East Road in New Woodstock. 2/9: 18 EVENING GROSBEAKS were at a feeder on Carpenter Road near Sheds. also seen were 4 PINE SISKINS, a NORTHERN SHRIKE and a NORTHERN GOSHAWK. Oswego County------------ 2/9: A female EASTERN TOWHEE was seen at a feeder near Mexico Point on Lake Ontario. Herkimer County------------ 2/5: An immature GOLDEN EAGLE was seen and well described on Platform Road in Fairfield.
