Heading west on the LIE Wednesday AM, I observed a small flock of 6-7 Wild
Turkeys pecking away on the grassy divider between the east & west
road-ways. My mind immediately traveled back to being upstate somewhere
below Binghampton on 17, riding along with Bill Reeves en-route to a NYSOA
quarterly board meeting, or with Jim Clinton Sr. and/or John Ruscica,
heading to a FNYSBC/ NYSOA Annual Meeting. We all had a number of W.T.
encounters on that stretch of road, as well as on other roads that took us
to annual meetings all over the state.

In the afternoon, I headed to the Grumman Grasslands, where I found at
least 14 A. Kestrels, 1 Horned Lark, 1 T.V., and ~ 15 E. Meadowlarks, with
many of them singing.

Cheers,
Bob
