Montezuma National Wildlife Complex (MNWC) and Montezuma Wetlands Complex (MWC)---------------- 12/7: A GREATER WHITE-FRONTED GOOSE was seen in flight at Goosehaven on Rt. 89. This day was the last positive report of the CATTLE EGRET. 12/9: A late MARSH WREN was again found near the tower at the Visitor’s Center. 12/10: 25 SANDHILL CRANES were seen in the Armitage Road fields. Cayuga County------------ 12/8: A SNOWY OWL was seen on the east pier at Fair Haven State Park. Onondaga County------------ 12/7: A SNOWY OWL was seen at an undisclosed location on Onondaga lake. 12/8: A SNOWY OWL was seen at Hancock airport. 12/9: A late KILLDEER was seen on the west shore trail of Onondaga Lake. Oswego County------------ 12/5: A SNOWY OWL was seen at Oswego Harbor. It (another) was seen on the 7th. 12/8: A late HERMIT THRUSH was seen at a private residence in Hastings. 12/9: A RED-NECKED GREBE was seen in Oswego Harbor. Madison County------------ 12/4: A GREATER WHITE-FRONTED GOOSE and 3 CACKLING GEESE were seen at the south end on Cazenovia Lake. 12/10: An ICELAND GULL was seen on Ditchbank Road north of Chittenango.
