Montezuma National Wildlife Complex (MNWC) and Montezuma Wetlands Complex (MWC)---------------- 12/30 : 19 TRUMPETER SWANS were seen on Armitage Road. Onondaga county------------ 12/26: A SHORT-EARED OWL was seen on Pompey-Watervale Road north of Rt. 20. 12/30: A juvenile INDIGO BUNTING was seen and well photographed at a feeder on Westmoreland Ave. in Syracuse. 12/31: an ICELAND GULL was seen near the red Mill Inn on the Seneca river in Baldwinsville. A SNOWY OWL was seen in the State Fair area in Syracuse. 1/1: A LAPLAND LONGSPUR was seen on Waters Road west of New Woodstock. Oswego county------------ 12/25: 13 PINE SISKINS were seen at a private residence in Hastings. 12/28: A PURPLE SANDPIPER was seen and well photographed at Oswego Harbor. Madison County------------ 12/29: LAPLAND LONGSPURS were seen on Shephards Road and Thurber Road. 24 PINE SISKINS were seen on Lyon road south of Cazenovia. 1/1: A SNOWY OWL was seen on Peterboro Road. 4 LAPLAND LONGSPURS were seen on Ditchbank Road. 3 LAPLAND LONGSPURS were seen on Harwood Island Road.
