The Le Conte’s Sparrow found by M. Adam 11/6 was refound this a.m. by K Lamb. (Assuming it’s same bird.) Off the Center Path. Pipits and meadowlarks have been around. Savannah sparrow numbers are wicked high.
There are only three paths you may walk at CPP landfill - the center path, the path on the east side (by phragmites), and the path around the circumference. Please do not walk on any side swales/side drainage areas or the landfill itself. A lot of people have gone to great effort and NYS has spent considerable funds to create what is a great spot for birds. Please keep it that way. Thank you. L.
