Canada Goose - around 400 Wood Duck - 1 male Reservoir Northern Shoveler - 28 Mallard - around 30 Bufflehead - 11 Hooded Merganser - 4 Ruddy Duck - 165 Mourning Dove - 55 American Coot - 6 or 7 Ring-billed & Herring Gulls - around 140 Great Black-backed Gull - 7 Great Blue Heron - 1 adult Turtle Pond Red-tailed Hawk - 5 Great Horned Owl - 1 continuing Red-bellied Woodpecker - 3-4 Yellow-bellied Sapsucker - 1 female near Pinetum Downy Woodpecker - 3 Blue Jay - 12-14 American Crow - heard east side near 79th Street Black-capped Chickadee - 4-5 Tufted Titmouse - around 50 White-breasted Nuthatch - 5 Brown Creeper - 1 at the Oven Carolina Wren - 2 singing (1 Ramble, 1 Reservoir at E. 90th) Hermit Thrush - 2 (Winterdale Arch, Shakespeare Garden) American Robin - 6-8 Fox Sparrow - 4 White-throated Sparrow - 30-40 Song Sparrow - 1 singing south end of Reservoir Eastern Towhee - 1 male singing Shakespeare Garden Red-winged Blackbird - 1 male Maintenance Field Common Grackle - 14 Northern Cardinal - 6-8 -- "Flaco" the Eurasian Eagle-Owl that escaped from the Central Park Zoo was reported again this morning.
