Though a total lurker, and occasional stinky-stirrer when it comes to
shonky dealers, I also add a +1 to the vote for the list being an excellent
resource despite the many OT posts and high noise:signal ratio at times.

        Take it in the same vein as the early settlers took the gold fields...
mountains of dirt to soft through at times, but the nuggets of purest green,
sorry, gold, are worth the effort when you stumble across them.

        I managed to use CSS, SEO, PHP and MySQL blits found in this list to
haul some of my clients' flagging sites to high Google rankings, optimised code
and better pay rates... and that was just from OT threads! Actually, the usual
ON-topic stuff can be quite dry and flavourless at times (no offense meant to
anyone) but the salt that enriches the broth is surely found in the OT realms.

        Considering... *THIS* thread isn't *really* ON-topic either... since I
have yet to see the original poster include any PHP related comments, questions
or answers in this thread... yet it persists. Why? Because it's a hell of a lot
more interesting than  if($topic == 'php' ) { join(in); } else { sleep; }

        So endith the ramble.
