Can't really go past Magento for features. But for some, it is overpacked and a
tad complicated. It's a bit of learning curve if you're doing your own modules
or editing existing.

The DPS module in the community was buggy as hell and pxpost only when we
trialled it (2 months ago). That may have have changed, but we ended up having
to mod the paypal module to handle PXPay.

Magento is King of the OS Ecommerce world at the moment. There are others, and
it's generally accepted that OsCommerce is now dead, but be prepared to get
your hands really dirty if you plan to extend Magento's functionality.

Google should return half a dozen or so decent other offerings that slip my
mind.

Magnetocommerce.com is the best one out there. There aint any others better
than that one.
Look for the DPS payment module in the Magento Community extensions

    Hi guys,

I've had some clients ask for an online shopping cart system for their
NZ based retail store with several hundred products.

It's been 4-5 years since I set up an online store for someone. At the
    time I was using oscommerce.

I was wondering what your recommendations for an ecommerce solution
    would be now?

    Still oscommerce?

Magnetocommerce.com? (Looks good but seems to lack payment gateways)

Any suggestions for solutions for me to check out would be greatly
    appreciated.

    Thanks!
