Hi,

is this local or international bandwidth. Costs are quite different. In
fact, some ISPs will tell you an amount of included national charges, which
they won't even charge you for, if they don't get charged themselves. As far
as I understand, NZ ISP still transfer traffic between each other without
charge. That could change though, if one of the behemoths changes their
mind  on that.

It sounds fairly naive (sorry) to assume that this is in control of a mid
sized ISP, rather its completely in control of Telecom and Telstra for
national traffic and the cable providers for international traffic.

It wouldbe good news to be proven wrong.
